Here we list a number of external data sources we have used in our projects. Please inform us if you find any links which do not work anymore. Of course this list is far from complete, so any suggestions you might have are welcomed !

Meteorological measurements

NOAA National Climatic Data Centre : NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) is responsible for preserving, monitoring, assessing, and providing public access to the Nation's treasure of climate and historical weather data and information.

GLDAS (http://ldas.gsfc.nasa.gov) analysis output, 3- hourly, global, resolution 0.25 deg. lat/lon, contains 2-m temperature & humidity, 10-m wind speed (no winddirection !), components of radiation balance ...; freely available via ftp in GRIB format.
